About the Band

The Flying Turtles String Band plays high energy old-time music. They have been appearing at festivals and venues around The South for some time now, and have played just about every old-time dance in the state of Florida and beyond. If you know of a dance they haven’t played, please let them know. They want to come and play.

Tom and Ellen Hogan are the core of the band. They write original songs and fiddle tunes, and are interpreters of traditional and folk music.
